Betrayed~

You trust so long

In someone you believe is right.

Your faith is strong,

And then one night...

It all is shattered-

That trust must die.

All that mattered-

Was always a lie.

That person; you followed,

Without hesitation or doubt!

Now your heart feels hollowed-

This is what hypocrisy is about.

You cry out in anger,

Frustration, and pain,

You feel you will never

Trust again.

You've been led astray.

You are dismayed.

Taken down the wrong way...

You've been betrayed.

Now all you can do is force a smile,

And get your feet back on the right path.

Healing will take a while,

But forgiveness will gradually blot out your wrath.
